Nairobi Giraffe Park - Kenya 1988 | |
|
I made two visits to Nairobi in Kenya in connection with work. While there I had the opportunity to go on safari (photos to follow) and also visit the Nairobi Giraffe Park. This building is raised on stilts so bringing the visitors up to the level of the giraffes' head. They also sold appropriate food for the visitors to feed to the giraffes. They appear so gentle. |
York 2001 | |

Pam and I were
married on the 19th May 2001 at Sidcup Registry Office and a service at
St. Bride's Church, Fleet Street. We then went to York for our
honeymoon. Here we ate early and there was no-one else in the
restaraunt! This is an ASK restaraunt in the old Assembly Rooms, York. Very grand surroundings for pizzas! There are lots of lovely eateries in York and we tried a few. We hired a motor boat and went for a trip up the river. Very relaxing - here is Pam at the controls. This is before we took up sailing again.
We
had a trip out to Castle Howard. Magnificent! We also enjoyed the
grounds and numerous peacocks. |
Addington Palace 1992 | |
|
The RSCM at
Addington Palace used to run regular residential courses. This was the
first one for intermediate organists led by Anne Marsden Thomas. I am standing next to Martin How near the back. Anne is in pink towards the front. A number of us have met regularly at courses over the years since. In this picture I am replaced by Lywella Harris who was Warden of Addington Palace at the time. She has since retired to St. David's in Wales and has been administrator of the excellent St. David's Festival. |

member of Erith Playhouse since 1971 and have produced and lit numerous
productions there. This is my design for the set of the comedy play
'Boeing-Boeing'
which I produced.The play had
an excellent cast and went very well. Pictures of other productions to
follow including, the Admirable Crichton and Blithe Spirit. |

Me on one of the many organs at
Addington Palace. Now removed to Cleveland Lodge. Not sure when this
was. The RSCM are now moving down to Sarum College in the close at
Salisbury where I have been on many courses and played the Cathedral
organ. |
