The time has come again to change cars. Moving on to hybrid - new
Honda HR-V Hybrid 19 January 2024. Purchased as usual from
G&M Motors Gravesend for outstanding service.
The time has come to downgrade our main car. We have now (16th
May 2019) traded our Honda CR-V in for a new Honda HR-V EX Petrol
CVT
Now in October 2015 we have upgraded our Honda CR-V to the new 2015
model. It is in Twilight Blue.
Here is our actual car
We have at last acquired a new Honda CR-V. It was ordered in
December 2006. It finally arrived on 30th June 2007. Its colour is
Royal Blue Pearl and the car is excellent! We have now (2011)
updated to a new model - same spec but silver. It has excellent
wheels which remind us of Yum-yums!
Alan's previous car was a Hyundai Tucson Diesel Automatic. We carry
around lots of lighting equipment from time to time.
Although it was diesel engined, fuel consumption was quite poor.
Which is why we decided for a change.
The previous car was a Honda CR-V automatic. It was petrol so the
new car should prove more economical to run.
Before that it was Toyota RAV4 automatic
Before that a VW Motor Caravan Richard Holdsworth conversion. It
started to get rather expensive to run.
The previous Camper Van from 1974 was a VW Type 2 Devon conversion:-
Before moving into Motor Caravans, Alan had a Hillman Minx like
this:-
Alan has had a number of motor bikes including a 1959 Norton
99SS which is a present undergoing restoration
This is a similar bike though two years older.
Alan's very first car was an Austin A40 Somerset in black with a red
convertible top. Very similiar to the car shown below.
BSA A7 Shooting Star 500cc similar to mine.
BSA B31 350cc similar to mine
BSA B31 350cc. similar to mine - the other side.
Alan's very first motor cycle was a James - very similar to this
one.
