Halmatic 30 'Kaliph'
Now that we have retired we purchased a larger boat to replace
Pranzo.
She is 'Kaliph' a 30 foot Halmatic 30 (actually 29' 6") with a beam of
9' 6" and draft of 4' 6", displacement 4.5 tons.
The atrocious weather this summer (2007) stopped a lot of sailing. No
sooner than Kaliph was in then it was time to take her out again.
Pam washing down.
There was very little weed this year. Not in for long enough!
It was a nice calm day - October 2007.
Kaliph - out - with Hamble Star in the foreground.
In 2008 we had a new Beta 20 engine fitted to replace the old Volvo. Kaliph goes much better under power now.
At the beginning of October 2006 we went down to the Medway for the
weekend in company with Tim in Gigi. Tim took all of these pictures.
Thank you!
The Medway weekend was excellent though rather windy going down it was
lovely coming back next day.
